Facelift for Sweet Home Designs

Have you ever felt like you just needed a change?  Me too.  I was looking at the blog and although the birds are beautiful...I just felt that it was a little to dark. 

I mean...this is an exciting time isn't it?  Yes, I know that there are bad things happening in this world.  But we serve a great and might God!  He has lifted us up, provided for our care, and brought new hope to our otherwise dreary days.

So, with that being said I decided to brighten up the blog.  I left the birds for now...I love birds so very much.  They are so happy and just seem to make me smile.  I watch the Bluebirds building a nest in our nest box and I can't help but thank the Lord for their presence.

Please let me know what you think of the new look.  Do I need to make the font bigger?  Can you read it quickly and easily?  Am I too long winded :D.

HootSuite! What in the World is That?

Hootsuite! 

What am I talking about now?  It's a social media dashboard that helps you coordinate messages between different social medias.  For instance, you can post something to Twitter, Facebook, Linked In, and 2 others with one fell swoop (free version).

I've just started using it, as I found myself hopping back and forth between medias.  I was looking for a way to create and distribute posts a little more efficiently.  For the FREE version you can add up to 5 different social media sites.  For more, you pay a $9.99 monthly fee.  I'm working with the free version right now to see if it's something that will actually save me time and open more doors for me.

There is an affiliate program as well, but I didn't sign up for that yet.  Still checking into it.  I really don't like to recommend things that I can't or won't use or that don't help me in the long run.

Have You Ever Felt Like This??

Do you see the determination on this animals face?  Can you see the power behind his eyes and his tenacious ability to swim with the strength and agility that only he could have?  Look at his great paws scooping the water, plunging forward to meet his destination.

 

He's coming right at us.  No fear.  Only determination to get whatever he's going after.

Well, that tiger is the way I feel right now.  I'm determined, I'm coming right at the challenge, and I'm going to succeed.  I'm not going to let others tear me down, I'm not going to let anyone stand in the way.  I can do this!

That doesn't really sound like me does it?  Even as I write it, I feel a little out of touch with the good natured, kind spirited person that I've become.  However, this is what I need to be to succeed.

I thank my God for every good thing that passes from me to you.  I pray that you too, will find the tiger within; so that you can meet success right where it stands.

Project Night Night Fundraiser Going on Now

I asked permission and have started a fundraiser for an organization called Project Night Night.  Please see below:

Mission

Project Night Night donates over 25,000 Night Night Packages each year, free of charge, to homeless children who need our childhood essentials to feel secure, cozy, ready to learn, and significant. Each Night Night Package contains a new security blanket, an age-appropriate children's book, and a stuffed animal -- all nestled inside of a new canvas tote bag. By providing objects of reliable comfort, Project Night Night reduces trauma and advances the emotional and cognitive well-being of the children we serve.

Every child who receives one of our Night Night Packages leaves the shelter owning a book which encourages reading and family bonding, a security blanket which can be cuddled, and a stuffed animal which can become a cherished friend. We have one objective – to deliver our Night Night Packages to every homeless child in the country who needs one.

If You Could Have Help in One Area What Would That Be?

If you could have someone help you out; in any area of your business, home, home office, or networking, what and where would that be?  I was thinking about this this morning as I was doing research online and I began to wonder as the time sped by; who else might need someone to do research, data entry, typing, updating blogs, sending out email blasts, etc.

We are all very busy and many of us are working to try and reach or build a dream.  We find ourselves running short on time; we certainly have the heart and desire, but just don't seem to have the time.

If you could hire someone to help you with the tasks at hand.  How much would you be willing to pay?  How do you know you can trust the person to actually fulfill the task?

Squeezing in Time for Your New Venture

Do you have trouble squeezing enough time into a busy day to get everything done?   I was thinking about that this morning, as I realized that I have to pick up my taxes, go to the grocery, get ready for work this evening, and did I mention make some new contacts for my new business?

It's not easy, is it?  Trying to fit all of our daily needs into a few hours and then add one more item to the day!  An important item!  If we don't make it a priority, it will never be one!

Here's the thing.  If you desire something enough, you will figure out how to make it a part of your day.  Right?  I mean if we seek the Lord's wisdom, then surely we will make time for His Word.  If we want to be heard, surely we will make time to be in front of the people we need to speak to.

The bottom line is that we need to take action each and every day to move forward in whatever we endeavor to do.  It needs to start now and it needs to continue daily.

Make every moment of every day count!
