LOTV Challenge - Sketch by Donalda

Hello everyone!  Thank you for stopping by today!  It's always a pleasure to have you visit.

Today I'm going to share a card that I made with my Mom while she was visiting this summer.  She helped me choose the flowers, colors, and embellishments.

Without further ado; here it is:

I Created a Page on FaceBook for my Blog!

Hello everyone!  Thank you for stopping by...it's always nice to have you visit.  Well, I decided to create a FaceBook page about my blog.  I thought it would be a fun way of sharing cards and projects, tutorials and such with other interested individuals.

But I could use a little help.  It's brand new and I'm the only one that has liked it so far LOL!  I don't have the courage to share it with everybody on FB, so I thought I would share it here first!

Here's how you can help.  If you have an FB account, would you consider "Liking" the page.  Only if you really like it though.  :)

The widget is on the left hand side of the blog, just below my Creative Scrappers blinkie.  It looks like this one.

Thank you so much for stopping by!  Blessings to you always!

Wild Orchid Challenge - Shabby Chic Friendship

Hello everyone!  Thank you for stopping by.  I decided to create a card for the WOC Shabby Chic Friendship Challenge.  I found this adorable stamp and decided to color her with my Pro Markers.  I used a technique I found on blending colors.

The caption on the stamp says, "In haste I bring my heart to you.  Believe me it is staunch and true."  I loved the vintage feel to the picture and the "Old English" verbiage.

Here it is:

Thank you all for your kindness and comments!  They are much appreciated.  Blessings to you and much happiness always.

LOTV Challenge 101 Bring on the Music

Growing up I played the flute.  Just like so many other children, I played it from sixth grade all the way through High School.  My childhood was difficult and we didn't have much money, but Mom working alone and raising 5 kids, decided that she wanted me to have that opportunity.

She leased the instrument at $19.00 a month.  By the time it was said and done we probably paid for it 3 times over.  I was never fantastic, but I enjoyed my time with the band and the friendships that I made.

Thanks Mom, you always seemed to come through for us; even in the most difficult of situations.

On to the challenge, Love Notes:

Thanks so much for spending some time with me!  Have a blessed day!!

TriShutterCard Tutorial

Good morning everyone!

Look at this wonderful tutorial by Split Coast Stampers.  The card is adorable.  The "stitching" effect is made with a piercing tool.  She also uses a score board to get the precise edges she needs.

The end product is fun and unique!  Take a look and enjoy.

Blessings to you and have a wonderful day and weekend!
